True Blue to return to the track for the 2023 season

28th Mar 2023

Scottish pulling team True Blue, run by Sandy Simpson, Jim Forrest, Graeme Simpson and Ross Forrest, looks set to return to the track for 2023 with a heavily refreshed Ford after not competing for a couple of years.

Graeme says that since the team has not managed to win the British Championship since 2017, the team has decided to make a few changes to help push the tractor back towards the top of the pack. Gone are the Ford's trademark white-painted wheels in favour of lighter aluminium rims shod with 24.5x32 Puller 2000 tyres sourced from Dutch pro stock team Mud Patrol. And the front wheels are going to be aluminium too - all with the aim of increasing moveable weight to suit the many different tracks the team will pull on.

Other changes include fully balancing the engine's rotating assembly, adding an external engine oil pump system to increase flow and pressure, along with a few performance upgrades that the team wants to keep a closely guarded secret. We can't wait to see the smoke rise again from the stack.
