Results confirmed, champions revealed

The recent Bank Holiday weekend saw the 2025 Mitas-sponsored BTPA championhip season draw to a close, as the fifth and final round took place at Great Eccleston, getting underway on Friday evening. And what a fantastic few days of pulling action we had, interspersed with ETPC Eurocup and PPA action.

The Friday night action for BTPA trophies kicked off with Super Farm tractors, followed by Limited Pro Stocks and BTPA Super Sport trucks - the latter class on a back-to-back session, competing again on Saturday. In the Super Farm class, David Todd steered his Redemption tractor to the win, keeping Jamie Walton's Chasing Dreams in second, with Ifan Thomas in third place - it was the same result for the championship title, giving Toddy back-to-back titles for the last two years.

Friday night's Limited Pro Stock class was won by Matt Harpley, with title leader Jamie Humphrey finishing just sixth. Humphrey's commanding lead in the championship though, was more than enough to lift the trophy, beating Harpley to the title by a massive 27 point margin.

Saturday saw the conslusion of the Super Sport trucks, with Stephen Charles' Brutus Thundertruck taking the Saturday win after Duncan Clitheroe marched the Thirsty Turtle to the top spot on Friday night. With Clitheroe plagued by turbocharger issues at the start of the season in Scorton, it left the door ajar for Charles to sneak the season win, with a margin on 19 points.

The 2.5t BTPA Light Modified class was wrapped up in a Eurocup class, with Aftermath Unleashed taking the top spot in the Eurocup class and winning the round, but ultimately losing out to Jim Whitecross's turbine-powered Gator Lynx Edition in the BTPA championship, despite solid performances in the weekend's double-header. The second Eurocup class of the night saw Europcup Super Stock tractors putting on an impressive show, with Red Alert and Just Smoky taking part for BTPA points. Red Alert's early season issues put the Clarke Pulling Team out of contention for the title, with David Jones again taking the title.

Limited Super Stock and 4.5t Super Sport tractors were also competing on Saturday, with Stephen Charles' Brutus Thunderstruck taking the win and the title in Limited Super Stock class, while Ryan Carnegie took his sixth win on Saturday night onboard the Xtreme Force Super sport tractor, making him untouchable in the championship points race, before the final round on Sunday.

Sunday's Pro Stock class was a two-way fight with Kevin Carnegie's Xtreme Green and Wyn Thomas' Evil Dragon - the two had battled furiously all season-long, with two wins each, but a pesky Dragon had already stole two valuable points from the Carnegie team at Scorton, right at the start of the season. This meant that Thomas' snarling Dragon stood to take championship glory by just two points, if he could win on Sunday. And his pull-off distance of 116.36m made sure he did just that.
