Mitas to sponsor 2025 British Championship season

2nd Apr 2025

The BTPA is pleased to announce that tyre manufacturer Mitas is to sponsor the entire 2025 British Championship points series.

The five-round season starts on 10+11 May at Scorton, Lancashire, before moving on to round two, which is being held at BA Stores in Aberdeenshire, on 27 and 28 June.

Round three visits Great Eccleston in Lancashire, before heading to Brechin, Angus, on August 8 and 9 for round four. The 2025 BTPA Championship points series sponsored by Mitas concludes with a three-day event at Great Eccleston, Lancashire, taking place from 22-24 August, taking in part of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Mitas is one of few tyre makers worldwide offering competition-level tyres exclusively for tractor pulling. Its two pulling tyres are the PowerPull 30.5L-32 and PowerPull 24.5-32.

A European manufacturer with worldwide reach, Mitas’ history stretches back to the 1930’s where its tyres were first produced in Prague, then Zlin and eventually Otrokovice in the Czech Republic.

Currently, the firm manufactures tyres globally, with factories in Slovenia, Serbia, Sri Lanka and America, in addition to maintaining its roots in the Czech Republic. Mitas is part of Yokohama TWS and is a supplier to many vehicle sectors including trucks, aircraft, motorcycles, materials handling and construction.

A significant part of its tyre production is for the agricultural sector, where Mitas is an OEM supplier of radial tyres for several premium brand tractor manufacturers. Tractor pulling isn’t the only motorsport arena for Mitas – the firm also produces go kart tyres too.
