Mitas Euro Challenge comes to Great Eccleston

16th Aug 2022

European Championships 2022 - ETPC update.

Due to the low number of teams that have been able to commit to attending the upcoming EC2022 in Great Eccleston, the ETPC feels that a meaningful competition to decide the European Champions for 2022 is not possible. To that effect it will mean that there will be no traditional EC possible in 2022.

Great Eccleston is one of the original European venues for tractor pulling with a long history of top level competition and as such is key to the future of European tractor pulling. There have been intensive discussions to formulate an alternative event format for the venue over the weekend 26-28th August 2022 to maintain this tradition and spectacle.

The ETPC is pleased to announce that the “Mitas Euro Challenge” for all classes that would have competed at the EC2022, is now being arranged with the full support of the ETPC and the British Tractor Pullers Association (BTPA) in collaboration with the promoter, the North West Tractor Pulling Club (NWTPC). This, mixed with the British classes that are also running over the weekend, promises to provide a top level event at Great Eccleston for ‘The World’s Most Powerful Motorsport’.

Please check the normal social media channels for further information on the event format and programme schedule in the coming days.
