The Knight from Warwickshire, is owned and operated by the Shirley family, who have been involved in pulling for over 30 years. This light modified machine uses two Ford 460-based V8 engines in a tubular frame chassis. Power is developed with the help of Littlefield 8-71 superchargers, Enderle mechanical fuel injection and MSD/Mallory ignition systems. The Knight uses a Racepak data logger to provide vital on-track information, while a custom-built billet crossbox is used to link the two engines. An SCS reverser, Rockwell rear axle and magnesium hubs complete the powertrain, achieving wheel speeds in excess of 80mph.
