The Bowland Raptor first hit the tracks in 2019, following a design and build period of several years by owner Leon Attenborough. Looking to get started in the Super Farm class, the Raptor is based on a Ford 8100 tractor but using a 360ci Ford Dover engine. Limited to 3200rpm to suit the Super Farm class, the tractor was built to Pro Stock rules. With a Bosch injector pump running 13mm elements, a Holset turbo and water-to-air charge cooling, Leon, an engineer-fabricator with race engine building experience from Longridge near Preston, Lancashire, reckons the Raptor is nudging 1,000hp.
