Description
After a successful period with modified tractor Lancashire Lady, the late Ken Smith (Ed's dad) switched to the TWD class in the mid 1990's. After building the Legend and Hero from scratch with friend Alan Williamson, the chassis was swapped to its current uner-pinnings, which came from USA tractor called Super Shaker. A very competitive machine, the Legend suffered a severe 'blow up' at the 2007 European Championships in Denmark, and was moth-balled until Ed recommisioned the tractor in 2014. Upgrades in Ed's tenure include a 14-71 blower, Pro Mag ignition, Fowler fuel pump, injector hat, new driveshafts and new diff. This helped to bag a 3rd place at the 2016 EC's in Great Eccleston, and a 4th at the 2017 Ahoy Superpull in The Netherlands.
