Just Smoky made it onto the track in 2005, having been built by Warwickshire-based David Jones as a component tractor to compete at top level UK and European pulling events. With help and experience provided along the way by super stock pullers Ron Bultemeier in the USA, and Peter Clarke, the Case IH MX340 has had many successful years on the track. The triple-turbo, alcohol-fuelled Just Smoky is certainly one to watch. The Jones family is no stranger to pulling - John and Bill Jones (David's father and uncle) started pulling in 1978 with a tractor called Smoky Joe, progressing to Smoky Jones II, a Ford 8600 diesel super stock, which has since been rebuilt as a Pro Stock.
