In 2010, machinery dealer Martin Ross of St Cyrus, Scotland, took a 15,000-hour Fendt 612LSA and used his engineering skills to create the DieselRoss Super Farm pulling tractor. The tractor still uses the original engine block, cylinder heads, gearbox and rear axle from that leggy old 612LSA, but with considerable modifications carried out to increase its overall performance. DieselRoss uses a six-cylinder MWM 226B 401ci engine with a Bosch P7000 injection pump with 13mm elements. A Holset HX55 turbo and 80-litre capacity water-to-air intercooler adds to the mix, with a multi-plate slipper clutch and 20.8 R38 Firestone double-cut tyres helping to put power on the track.
