Gareth Jones built his tractor in 2005, and it has gone through several make-overs and a name change and is now know as the Diesel Dragon. A lot of standard parts are used, but a special camshaft, billet pistons from the USA and con-rods from the Netherlands help to handle the increased power, thanks to a 4.8in Holset turbo, Sigma injection pump with 16mm elements, intercooler and water injection. It still uses Valtra's trans-axle design but with modified gears. This Shropshire-based family-run team has been involved in pulling for over 35 years, with son Nathan and daughter Olivia both driving from age eight in the Garden and Compact Diesel classes.
