Dark Addiction was built in 2020 during lock-down, to move on from a Fordson Super Major running a Ford Cargo engine. The tractor uses a 6.6-litre Ford TW35 engine, and using a Ford 7840 cylinder head with larger intake ports and a reprofiled camshaft. A Holset HX60 turbo is used, along with water injection and an air-to-water charge air cooler. The rear axle and gearbox is from a Ford 9700, with its Dual Power and inboard brakes removed. External disc brakes are fitted, as is a three-plate Crower clutch. Team mechanics include Nadine Siddall, John Forrest, Ian Brown and Andrew Dickson.
